About the Homes
Step into the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss as you visit the enchanting Bolton Beach House, a delightful stop on the Bolton Holiday Home Tour. This year, we've worked our holiday magic to transform this coastal gem into a true wonderland, inspired by "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas."
As you approach the Bolton Beach House, you'll be greeted by the unmistakable sight of a whimsical sleigh filled with presents and the iconic Grinch himself, lurking mischievously nearby. The facade of the house has been adorned with vibrant Who-ville colors, making it appear straight out of the pages of the beloved book. The spirit of Christmas, even if it's two sizes too small, is alive and well here.
Step inside to discover the heartwarming chaos of the Whos of Who-ville. The living room is adorned with festive decorations, each uniquely quirky and imaginative, just
like in the story. Be on the lookout for Cindy Lou Who and her friends, who will undoubtedly be spreading holiday cheer.

Bolton Beach House
Bolton Bear House
Welcome to the Bolton Bear House, a magical stop on our Holiday Home Tour where we've lovingly transformed this charming abode into a real-life rendition of "A Christmas Story." Step into the heartwarming nostalgia of the beloved movie as you're greeted by the warm glow of festive lights, fragrant evergreen wreaths, and whimsical holiday decorations that harken back to the 1940s. The Bolton Bear House captures the essence of the Parker family's memorable Christmas with remarkable attention to detail, featuring a leg lamp in the window, a gleaming Christmas tree adorned with retro ornaments, and a delightfully tacky "Major Award" prominently displayed.
Experience the excitement of Christmas morning in the living room, where wrapped gifts are piled high beneath the tree and the famous Red Ryder BB gun stands at the ready. Take a stroll into the kitchen, where the scent of freshly baked cookies fills the air, and Aunt Clara's "Pink Nightmare" bunny suit is hilariously displayed on a mannequin.
As you explore every nook and cranny of the Bolton Bear House, you'll be transported back in time to the heartwarming world of Ralphie Parker and his quest for the ultimate Christmas gift. Don't miss your chance to relive the magic of "A Christmas Story" right here in this holiday wonderland.
Sagamore Golf House
This Christmas, we’ve selected a fitting “golf theme” for the Sagamore Golf House. The gorgeous Christmas tree is a must-see, with handmade decor made from golf balls and tees. Nearby, cast your gaze onto the massive farm table set for Christmas dinner with real putting grass and custom arrangements. We’ve decked the endless halls of this enormous home and invite you to wander through all of them, leading you to the various suites, nooks, and crannies. Some of your favorite surprises might be the actual movie theater playing “It’s a Wonderful Life.” The location is spectacular any time of the year, but this Christmas experience is one you don’t want to miss.
This Adirondack waterfront manor is the perfect backdrop for a rustic Lake George Christmas. The fresh balsam pine wreaths tied with bright festive bows, the birch wood seasonal arrangements on top of the stairs, and the vintage ice skates, skis, toboggan, and snowshoes help pull the Old-Fashioned Christmas feel together. Walking inside will stop you as you take in the awe-inspiring sight of the expansive interior featuring enormous stag antler chandeliers and a turn-of-the-century wooden canoe hanging from the ceiling sparkling with relics of the season. Wander around sipping your holiday spirit and take it all in – the formal Christmas dinner tablescape, the hand-knit woolen stockings hanging from the massive fieldstone fireplace, and the beautifully decorated Christmas tree.
The Sembrich Studio
Welcome to the historic Sembrich Studio, a cultural gem joining the Bolton Holiday Home Tour in celebration of its remarkable 100-year anniversary. Nestled along the serene shores of Lake George, this historic property was once the estate of Gilded Age opera star Marcella Sembrich (1858-1935). The building opened to the public as a museum in 1937 and serves a beacon of elegance, art, and culture in the Adirondack region.
As you step into the Studio, you'll be transported back in time to an era of refined beauty and artistic appreciation. The Spanish Revival studio exudes timeless charm and offers a unique opportunity to explore over a century of history. The interior is adorned with period-appropriate decorations. Sembrich’s own Steinway grand piano, which is still played by world-renowned musicians, still fills the space with sweet melodies. The property’s picturesque views of Lake George, framed by the surrounding mountains, provide a breathtaking backdrop to the festivities.
The Sembrich’s 100th anniversary is a testament to the enduring allure of this historic landmark. Join us in honoring a century of culture, art, and timeless beauty as we pay tribute to the legacy of Marcella Sembrich and her lasting impact on the Bolton community. Step inside and become a part of history, celebrating this unique cultural treasure in the heart of the Adirondacks.

As part of the holiday tour, the Scott House will be transformed into a festive wonderland, showcasing the perfect blend of its historical charm and seasonal spirit. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to explore this remarkable home, appreciate its historical significance, and immerse themselves in the warmth and magic of the holiday season.
